Music Bio of Samuel J Alibrando
COMPOSING
Writing songs since he was 9 years old (1962). Too poor to afford lessons and not skilled enough to copy songs, he could only pretend he was singing a real song which he made up himself on a broken 4-string guitar.
Since then Alibrando has composed more than 200 songs and says he has composed and forgotten far more. He considers many pieces as works in progress but a source of pleasure.
PUBLIC PERFORMANCE
In the 1980's, Alibrando worked professionally as a singer/songwriter performer in California for a few years. After a bout with sickness he transitioned to staging other performers in central California less focused on doing his own performances.
SONGWRITER GUILD FOUNDER
During this same time of cassette tape music, he founded “Central Valley Songwriters Guild” with different types of songwriters giving feedback on original music anonymously and flew in speakers from record companies. In relation with the Los Angeles Songwriter Showcase, he also provided a pipeline to Hollywood Songwriters for some members.
PROFESSIONAL JINGLES AND ARRANGING MUSIC FOR OTHER SONGWRITERS
He also hired out as an arranger and jingle writer during this time.

FAMILY OVER INTERESTS
He has no regrets choosing family duties over creative pursuits but the creative juices never stopped.
MUSIC STYLES
Attracted to songs covering a wide variety of genres, Alibrando shows no loyalty to any one music category. His styles include: Folk, Blues, Country, Classical, Blue Grass, Pop, Rock, smooth jazz and maybe a Latin song but feels most of his songs are of uncertain categories often says they are Singer/Songwriter, including piano and guitar instrumentals. Christian contemporary and Gospel have more to do with the lyrics than the music style so he says, but he has many of these, including music to scripture.
AUTHOR, RADIO PROGRAM NARRATIONS
Published author, columnist and businessman in America, he also has a book published in the Philippines, "Nature Is Always Talking" and new Amazon/Kindle ebook “Brain Stirring and Inspiring” derived from his radio series on the national classical music station of the Philippines, FEBC.
In addition to writing, speaking, studying and doing nearly 800 (at time of writing) radio programs on nature’s genius called “Nature Narrations” he prays he can pass on whatever good things God has put in him to share.
CURRENT PURSUIT
To warm up his voice and guitar playing, Alibrando does original music at a cafe as background. It is practice for recording. At this point, the plan is to practice, record, arrange, enhance and post online. A legacy plan after all these years of composing, playing and not recording.

Alibrando claims anyone can create their own music and lyrics and has provided workshops.
